Why I Haven’t Mounted It Yet
If you’re wondering why this review doesn’t include photos of the hammock installed on the wall yet, the answer is pretty simple:
We’re renters.
Unlike a freestanding cat tree, a wall-mounted cat hammock needs to be installed securely into wall studs. That’s one of the things I actually like about this design—it feels like a much sturdier, more permanent solution than suction-cup window hammocks or clamp-on desk hammocks.
The downside is that you want to get the placement right the first time.
Right now we’re trying to decide between two locations. I love the idea of mounting it in our living room where Sansa, Cersei, and Arry can lounge above us while we watch TV. My husband, Roger, thinks they’d be happier by the window where they could spend the day birdwatching and soaking up the sunshine.
Since the hammock is designed to be anchored into wall studs, we’ll need to locate the studs first and make sure the placement works before drilling any holes. In a rental apartment, that’s not a decision I want to rush.

What My Cats Thought
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that cats don’t wait for your plans.
As soon as the package arrived, Sansa decided the shipping box deserved a proper inspection. Before I’d even finished unpacking everything, she had climbed inside to supervise the entire project.
Once the hammock was assembled, Cersei wasted absolutely no time claiming it. I had set it on the floor while deciding where we might install it, and within minutes she had curled up like it had always belonged there.
Later, while I was editing my assembly video, Arry wandered over to investigate too. Before long, all three of my cats had taken turns lounging in the hammock—even though it wasn’t attached to a wall yet.
